What is therapeutic Yoga?
In essence, yoga is about coming into harmony with yourself. We can therefore say that yoga is yoga therapy. With special techniques you can utilise its healing effects even more effectively and holistically.
In my therapeutic Yoga session I outline specific yoga poses and practices to help with certain dis -eases and health conditions. Yogic practices may enhance muscular strength and body flexibility, promote and improve respiratory and cardiovascular function, promote recovery from and treatment of addiction, reduce stress, anxiety, depression, and chronic pain, improve sleep patterns, and enhance overall well-being and quality of life.
Can you join any of my classes, even as a beginner?
Yes, you can (if it is not explicitly explained). I offer in all my classes variations and modifications. If you want to tailor your practice more to your needs or have a specific condition please consider booking a 1:1 yoga session with me so we can incorporate therapeutic yoga poses and individualise your practice.
What is Thai Yoga Massage?
Thai Yoga Massage is a full-body massage entering a wholeheartedly blissful state. Here we are using bodywork that combines passive stretching influenced by Yoga, and pressure points along energy lines influenced by Chinese acupuncture and Ayurveda. You will experience a holistic that uses time-honoured Thai healing methods to balance the body through stretches and firm pressure.
Thai Yoga Massage is different from many Western forms of massage in that there is no oil used, the therapist uses a mattress on the floor (instead of a massage table), and the client remains completely clothed throughout the session.
What is Reiki?
Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. Reiki therapy is based on an Eastern belief that vital energy flows through your body. The treatment is administered by using gentle touch or placing hands just above your body to help guide this energy in a way that leads to balance and healing. Studies show that reiki therapy may be useful for reducing stress and anxiety, easing pain, and even improving your quality of life. It can bring about symptom relief with many conditions.
Do I teach beginners surfing?
Yes, I love teaching beginners surfing and guiding them in their process. I emphasis the importance of learning about beach dynamics, water safety and surfing etiquette besides developing surf techniques and having fun in the water. For me it is important to experience the joy of surfing whilst having respect of other surfer and of course the ocean.
